A Spiritual Test
Posted on December 26, 2009
If Christmas is truly Christmas to us believers, then we gotta be careful of not letting the days after Christmas change our spiritual mindset.
It is easy for me, to pick up where I left off a week or so ago, and proceed with my life, letting the spirit of Christmas slowly seep out of me.
I may not look like this dog, but I do lose my focus on something that should be so spiritually prominent.
Perhaps a good test of our spiritual maturity is just how quickly the spirit of Christmas leaks out of us in the days to come.

So true. One thing that I have been thinking about lately is your previous post “The Christmas Problem”. I think we should all re-evaluate our own testimony and see whether it truly lines up with Christ’s life, mission, purpose, etc. If we are His, then we will reflect His life on a daily basis, and not just have “seasonal” episodes of “joy”… In HIM we live and move and have our being..
Thanks for this post!
Thanks Linda.
Linda took the words out of my mouth, “So true.” Thanks for the nudge in the right direction, Steve. I needed that too. May the awestruck moments, the spirit of giving, and the celebration of the greatest Gift linger long . . .yes, may they make their home in us.
Love you!
Thanks sis. It’s quite an honor to have comment.
What you said is so, so true, Steve.
I started re-reading (and some times initially reading) my advent devotions.
I do not want to lose the impact of our Christmas Eve service. I want to grow spiritually in 2010!
Your blog will help!
Thanks mom.
