Nonsense…

Posted on June 7, 2007

I used to work with a guy who often used the word “nonsense”.

He was quite adept at using the word in the middle of conversations. Somebody would be saying something factual or opinion and he would simply say nonsense.

And then he would unemotionally explain why whatever had been said was nonsense. He was so adept at it that few people were offended.

This photograph of a fox with his ears and his teeth show that he is adept with those two parts of his anatomy. If we had a photograph showing the potential of our brain we would equally impressed. And we should be equally adept.

We hear and see and read all sorts of stuff all day long and we ought to use the word nonsense on a regular basis. Our minds are more than up for the task.

If we’ll passionately keep our eyes on Jesus we’ll see much clearer the nonsense of the world.

i’m not sure i agree with you on this one, bro. even tho we may feel that there is a lot of nonsense in this world, it is subjective. what is nonsense to me may not be to someone else. that’s part of our uniqueness and our freedom to think for ourselves. and i think we need to be respectful of each other. i wouldn’t want someone to tell me that my thoughts, opinions, or beliefs are nonsense.

    cool pic tho =]
