“The Richness and Inherent Intelligence of Life.”

This is a close-up of the iris of a human eye.

It functions the same way the diaphragm of a camera works. It allows or disallows light to enter the eye. It dilates or constricts the pupil.

Some think this handy little human feature came about through evolution. Others think God purposely thought we’d like to see his creation and it would be practical to see in both dimly lit places as well as brightly lit places.

Some think the theory of evolution has the capacity and the mechanism to evolve the iris. Others, like Anthony Flew, a renowned former atheist state it this way.

“The integrated complexity of life itself –– which is far more complex than the physical Universe –– can only be explained in terms of an Intelligent Source. I believe that the origin of life and reproduction simply cannot be explained from a biological standpoint despite numerous efforts to do so. With every passing year, the more that was discovered about the richness and inherent intelligence of life, the less it seemed likely that a chemical soup could magically generate the genetic code.”

I am personally convinced of the reality of God despite the attacks against God by men like Richard Dawkins. And I am personally convinced, along with Anthony Flew, that the life, as we constantly see it, is not plausible by natural causes. And thirdly, I am personally convinced that life is a constant and profound and inspiring and a joyful testimony to the greatness of our God and the power of Jesus Christ in creation (Colossians 1:16).

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made. Romans 1:20
