Irresistible

One of the deeper pleasures in life is being able to bridge the relational gap between us and God. To be able to see more and more of the greatness of Jesus Christ.

The Golden Gate bridge is one my favorite places.  To me, there is something significantly powerful about how immensely big it is, how it beautifully spans such a busy body of water, and how it relentlessly endures the corrosive ocean air.

Reading through the words that Jesus was scourged, spit upon, struck, and mocked is good for my heart and mind. To be reminded that he endured that, and the crucifixion, for me and my pride and sins, draws me to Him.  I have been forgiven through that suffering.

Jesus is significantly powerful, immensely big, beautiful in glory, who relentlessly endures my shortcomings. How can the be resisted?

Such bridges, real or relational, should prized and crossed.
